How we calculate $/mg
Vial price divided by labeled milligrams. That is the entire formula, and it is the only figure on this page that is ours rather than observed.
What the formula cannot see, and what you should hold in mind reading any table like this one:
- Labeled versus assayed mass. Lyophilized peptide carries counter-ions and residual water. Vendors differ on whether the labeled milligrams are gross or net, and that gap can be larger than the price differences people argue about.
- Blends have no honest $/mg, because the milligrams are not all the same substance.
- Promotional stacking. A sale price plus a code is a third price, and it is not the one you will see next month.
- Amortized fees. A member price is a price plus a fee spread over everything you buy after it. See the arithmetic below.
